It is beyond sad and heartbreaking, but it is well known that people are victimized on a daily basis for the purposes of human trafficking, pornography, sexual abuse, revenge porn, and sexploitation.

It is not just your garden variety criminal that is responsible for these acts. Hotels, airlines, websites, truck stops, and business owners are making millions each year by assisting or turning a blind eye to human trafficking. Additionally, children and teens are exploited far too often by youth residential treatment centers, boot camps, boarding schools, or other programs.

There are also countless sexual assaults on college campuses. Most colleges or universities require an internal hearing or tribunal made up of students and faculty. However, in addition to the internal proceeding, survivors have the right to pursue a separate civil action against the abuser(s).
